REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in library and information science from an American Library Association accredited program
- Two years of full-time (40 hours per week or equivalent) experience as a professional librarian
- Certification by the State Librarian authorized through the Office of the Secretary of State, may be obtained upon conditional offer of employment
- One year of full-time (40 hours per week or equivalent) library reference experience to include using virtual reference systems to serve customers as well as monitoring the daily operations of those virtual systems
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally statewide and overnight in support of outreach events
- Valid Washington Driver’s license or the ability to obtain upon employment
Required education experience may be gained concurrently.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Washington State and Federal government
- Knowledge of Washington State or Pacific Northwest history
COMPENSATION
$3213 - $4214 per month, depending on qualifications.
