About the Position: The position, Library Technician, is the primary contact for medical library customer service. This individual is the first responder for all clientele using library services. This position supports multi-disciplinary programs in the health sciences including graduate medical education, nursing, nutrition, pharmacy, clinical pastoral education, health administration, and others. The library technician obtains interlibrary loans from other libraries for Madigan users to support patient care, education, research, planning, and forecasting. Madigan also lends materials to other federal libraries to maximize the use of federal resources. The library technician is also responsible for circulation, library statistics, and the physical condition of the medical library collection including shelving materials appropriately.
