Lakewood Library, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2007 with a complete remodel, serves an area with 144,100 residents in the northern half of Lakewood, Jefferson County's largest city. The service area's population is diverse with a growing number of Spanish speakers. Lakewood Library is in a residential neighborhood just a few blocks from busy commercial areas. The library's staff of 22 provides reference services for children and adults, access to Jefferson County's extensive Online Library, about 188,600 items on its shelves, access to extensive law and government documents collections, and numerous free programs for all ages, including story times for children. The library's meeting room is a popular place for community gatherings.

QUALIFICATIONS: Requires high school diploma or equivalent with some college course work and a minimum of 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a library setting. The successful candidate will have supervisory experience. Must be flexible to work some evenings, weekends, and minor holidays.

DUTIES:
The Page Coordinator supervises 20+ hourly employees (pages) who shelve and check in our collection. We are looking for an individual who will hire, coach, schedule, train, and evaluate the pages; drive the production of the paging unit; and exhibit superlative customer service while working the circulation desk. The work involves managing a large workflow of materials through the library. The successful candidate will be a leader who is capable of finding new solutions to workflow management without an increase in staff and is able to develop a teamwork environment that inspires employees to be creative in managing the workflow, work autonomously, and be progressive thinkers. In addition, this individual will work in concert with the other supervisors to contribute to the overall goals of Lakewood Library.

SALARY: $2,764 per month
