Yakima Valley Libraries is recruiting for a progressive, forward-thinking librarian to manage the main library of the Yakima Rural County Library District in Yakima, WA. Just minutes from the mountains, with over 40 wineries and 6 golf courses throughout the Yakima Valley, Yakima also boasts the newly remodeled Capitol Theatre, the Yakima Valley Museum, Yakima Farmer’s Market and many other amenities to ensure plenty of choice activities.  

The Branch Manager provides circulation, reference, and readers’ advisory services to the public; performs a variety of administrative, management and technical tasks related to library services; serves as library liaison to the community and demonstrates good stewardship of library resources.  Requires coordination of a large collection of materials, advanced reference services, covers an extensive circulation range, has a high level of community outreach and programming responsibilities, and is responsible for supervision of multiple staff.  With a circulation of over 223,000 and a collection of 150,000 in a 13,580 square foot building, we are located in the heart of beautiful, downtown Yakima and welcome nearly 224,000 patron visits a year.
