Substitute Library Associate
$21.82/hour - No benefits

The Camas Public Library is currently seeking Substitute Library Associates.  The individuals selected for this position will be
responsible for performing library duties at a paraprofessional level including circulation tasks and reference desk/reader's advisory services. These duties are highlighted on the job description.

Substitutes may be called upon to work anytime Monday through Saturday during library hours and may include evenings and weekends.  This position is not eligible for benefits.

Applicants with a Master's Degree in Library or Library and Information Science are preferred; a Bachelor's Degree and experience may be substituted.  Knowledge of library services and functions, principles and procedures of paraprofessional and technical library services including circulation procedures and reference service is required.

Substitute Library Associates must interact effectively and courteously with the public in delivering service.  Experience with Sirsi/Dynix WorkFlows (or other ILS) software is essential.  Experience with operation and troubleshooting PC workstations is expected.

Sufficient mobility to work in a library setting and operate office equipment is required, including extensive and recurring walking, standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching and regular lifting of moderately heavy items.
