Archivist Deadline: 'open until filled' RESPONSIBILITIES The Archivist is responsible for the preparation, indexing, and storage of paper-based project and accounting files, and the transfer of digital project files to archive media. Prepare project drawings and master files for storage and scanning; transfer files to off-site facility; review scanned documents for accuracy and completeness; destroy project files after scanning; input data into Archives database. Annually, assist the Accounting Department with year-end report preparation; prepare files and reports for scanning; review scanned documents for accuracy and completeness; input data into archives database. Create digital project archives as requested; create, index, store and distribute archive media to other offices and project teams. Retrieve stored materials from off-site facility as requested; track such requests and oversee return of materials to storage. Assist all offices in their archiving efforts through user training and prompt input of data into the archives database. Participate in the planning, implementation and maintenance of an electronic document management system.
