The Information Experience Director,#01999-001, is a full-time, benefits eligible, management position. Typically working a weekday schedule this position does include occasional evenings and weekends. Monthly salary begins at $5,651.
The Information Experience Director oversees and directs services with a system-wide focus including reference, reader’s advisory, electronic and virtual services, learning and education. Ensures high quality customer-focused service. Provides leadership in the planning, implementation, evaluation and staff training of current technology and electronic resources. Introduces staff to new and useful technologies that provide contemporary customer service. Identifies trends, emerging technologies and changing service needs; plans, develops and implements services to address them. Builds relations and connections with community agencies, institutions and individuals while representing Pierce County Library at community events.
The Information Experience Director participates in long-range planning to create and support a customer-focused organization.
Applicants must have a Master’s Degree from an ALA accredited Library & Information Studies program and five years experience overseeing information services operations.
